U.S Natural Gas Trade Summary: 2004 – 2013


  • U.S. net imports of natural gas fell 14% in last year, according to the EIA.
  • Increased natural gas production has helped decrease the U.S’ dependence on foreign natural gas.
  • Increased natural gas production has helped maintain a high price differential between domestic U.S and foreign markets outside of North America increasing interest in the potential of exported U.S LNG.
