Crude Oil Prices to Average $52 per barrel in 2015 according to the EIA
- According to the EIA, it projects WTI prices to average $52.15/barrel in 2015, down from the previous forecast of a 2015 average of $55.02.
- The EIA also said it anticipates WTI crude to average $70 per barrel in 2016, compared with the previous forecast for $71.

According to the IEA Medium-Term Oil Market Report:
“Barring any unexpected supply disruption or major, energy-related change in policy, the market re-balancing will likely occur relatively swiftly but will be comparatively limited in scope, with prices stabilising at levels higher than recent lows but substantially below the highs of the last three years”.

US refinery inputs achieved a record-high 16.8 M/bd
The EIA reported on 24 July 2014 that US refinery inputs achieved a record-high 16.8 M/bd in each of the past two weeks, surpassing the previous record from the summer of 2005.
