US Tech Venture Capital Deal Trend by Month – 2012 to 2014
Compared to Europe, the US market is a bit more robust when it comes to investment deals in the month of August.
The chart below shows the monthly U.S. tech trend of deals that included the participation of a venture capital or corporate venture capital investors since January 2012.
- In 2012, August was the 6th most active month for tech VC deals
- In 2013, August was the 5th most active month for tech VC deals
- In 2014 YTD, it has actually been the slowest month of the year so far.
As the data highlights, August is not consistently a slow month for tech deals unlike in Europe where it has been.
